About RBLP

Certification Program

The Resilience-Building Leader Program is the credentialing body for the Resilience-Building Leadership Professional (RBLP) series of leadership certifications. We are a member organization of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. Our credentialing efforts are aligned with the standards set forth in the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, & National Council on Education Measurement, 2014).

Our certification exams provide the public with a dependable mechanism for certifying practitioners that have met identified standards. Leaders that earn an RBLP certification can be confident that their professional credential is based on competency standards developed in accordance with industry best practices in exam development and administration. Our certification processes and procedures ensure that all RBLP credential holders demonstrate their competence adequately and fairly.

Our mission is to identify and certify people that are ready to build resilient teams and lead them in a challenging environment. In today’s hyper-competitive world, organizations need resilient teams that can adapt and grow together in the face of adversity. When people in an organization are collectively resilient, the organization is stronger. Resilience enables adaptation and growth. Resilience makes learning and change possible.

Our Vision

The Resilience-Building Leader Program was founded by Dr. Gene Coughlin on the idea that collective resilience is essential for organizational learning and change. Our purpose is to share this idea with leaders everywhere. We envision a worldwide community of practice made up of front-line supervisors, middle managers, and senior leaders that are committed to the value proposition of Building Resilient Teams.
