In our latest nonprofit support initiative, The Resilience Building Leadership Program is very pleased to announce that we’re offering RBLP Leadership Certifications to key leaders at Habitat For Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County.
Based in Goleta, CA, this branch of Habitat for Humanity incorporated in 2000 and has built 22 new homes, now providing shelter for 84 people, including 39 children; as well as completed four affordable housing developments and over 150 home repairs.
Founded in 1976 by Linda and Millard Fuller, Habitat for Humanity (or simply Habitat) has since become one of the most respected nonprofit organizations in the world. They work in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S., and internationally in approximately 70 countries. “Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live… building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing.”
Additionally, RBLP congratulates Habitat of Southern Santa Barbara on their 20th anniversary this year! The group have several events planned in upcoming months including a DIY and Artist Event at their ReStore (Habitat’s independently owned reuse stores offering discounted furniture and building materials); an Educational Housing Panel, and a Volunteer Appreciation Celebration later in 2020.
Taking care of our community is a core value at the Resilience-Building Leader Program. Our primary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is to provide RBLP exam prep training and leadership certifications to front-line leaders, middle managers, and senior leaders at selected charitable nonprofit organizations at no cost.
