As part of our ever-growing RBLP “Giving Back” program, we are pleased to announce that our team is certifying members of the staff of the Hampton Roads Workforce Council in Norfolk, VA!
The Council is organized to receive, maintain and administer assets for the purpose of conducting, supporting and furthering workforce development programs in Southeastern Virginia. It is a 501(c)(3) organization with 509(a)(1) public charity status which works to increase financial resources to expand and create workforce development programs and services that align with the region’s new flourishing economy. It also assists individuals ages 14-retirement with employment searches, career exploration, access to training opportunities, and financial literacy education through its three divisions, and is a partner of Virginia Career Works Hampton Roads.
Through their web presence and outreach efforts, the Hampton Roads teams work to connect individuals seeking employment with opportunities of all kinds; among their recent promotional efforts are the NextGen Pathways program, along with the Virginia Restaurant Association to hold a virtual hiring event connecting high school seniors with tourism and hospitality employers; and an in-person Supervisor Job Fair with Howmet Aerospace, offering a variety of opportunities to those interested in tech and manufacturing positions.
The Hampton Roads staff are being instructed by Joseph Henry, who volunteered his time to teach the exam prep training course.
