In our latest nonprofit support initiative, the Resilience-Building Leader Program is pleased to announce that we’re offering RBLP Leadership Certifications to the team at the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, based at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

Beginning in 2007, Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management established the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) to “offer cutting-edge experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 veterans with service-related disabilities.” In the 13 years since, the program has expanded and developed into the IVMF, launched in 2011 “to serve all 25 million U.S. veterans, focusing on the social, economic, education and policy issues affecting them and their families post-service.” All programs are offered at no cost and with no need to use G.I. Bill benefits.

Among the excellent career-focused programs at the IVMF is Onward 2 Opportunity, established in 2015 and whose staff members are among those being certified via RBLP. Per the IVMF website:

Onward 2 Opportunity is a free, comprehensive career skills program that provides civilian career training, professional certifications, and employment services support to transitioning service members, members of the selected reserves, veterans, and military spouses. O2O partners with private sector companies committed to training and hiring military talent and their spouses earlier in the transition process.
