Our mission at Resilience-Building Leader Program (RBLP) is to certify leaders in building and leading resilient teams in the workplace. Since our founding in 2018, we have issued thousands of leader certifications.
Why? Getting the work done can be hard in any organization, and sometimes, it can be really hard. Resilient teams thrive in challenging environments because they can overcome adversity, adapt, and grow together.
Leaders build resilient teams by creating a positive climate, developing cohesion, and providing purpose. Building resilient teams makes team learning possible. Team learning is the foundation of organizational learning and change.
Getting certified is a structured learning and assessment experience that improves leadership abilities. Earning a leader certification will introduce you to new ideas and concepts. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of leader tasks will instill a greater sense of confidence in yourself.

Where do RBLP certified leaders work?
RBLP is our core leader certification. This certification is for managers responsible for one or more team’s morale, teamwork, motivation, and commitment. People who earn this certification can build and lead resilient teams.
Exam prep course required | 1.5-hour oral exam
RBLP-C is our coach certification. This certification is for managers with organizational improvement, innovation, and problem-solving responsibilities. Managers who earn this certification can coach teams through the experiential learning cycle.
Exam prep course required | 2.5-hour oral exam
RBLP-T is our trainer certification. This certification is for senior managers with organizational learning and development (L&D) responsibilities. Senior managers who earn this certification can teach authorized training courses that prepare people for the RBLP series of leader certification exams.
Exam prep course required | 3.5-hour oral exam
Our local partners teach the instructor-led Building and Leading Resilient Teams courses (3, 5, and 7 modules) that prepare you for the RBLP, RBLP-C, and RBLP-T certification exams. The partners below offer online courses with flexible start dates and schedules. Most also offer one-on-one training.

We developed the self-paced, online Leadership Fundamentals Course specifically for college students. This course will make you a better leader and more competitive for internships and jobs.
This course introduces college students to 21 core leadership tasks that everyone entering the workforce should understand. Course topics include Creating a Positive Climate, Developing Cohesion, and Providing Purpose. Audio versions of the lessons and bonus video content are also included.
The course cost is only $145. Complete the course to earn a certificate and digital badge.
The Eagle Pass, TX metro area, primarily encompassing Maverick County, is a compact but vibrant area located along the U.S.-Mexico border. This area covers approximately 1,280 square miles and is home to about 58,000 residents. Eagle Pass, the county seat and principal city, sits directly across the Rio Grande from its sister city, Piedras Negras, in Coahuila, Mexico, creating a bi-national, bicultural community.
Geographically, the Eagle Pass metro area features a semi-arid landscape with the Rio Grande serving as a natural and political boundary between the United States and Mexico. The area’s geography is marked by a mix of flatlands and gentle hills, characteristic of the Texas Brush Country, which provides a natural habitat for various wildlife and supports local agriculture.
Economically, Eagle Pass benefits from its position as a border city, facilitating international trade and commerce. The area’s economy centers around retail, international trade, and government services. Major employers include the Eagle Pass Independent School District, Fort Duncan Medical Center, and the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino, owned and operated by the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas, which is one of the area’s largest private employers and a significant contributor to the local economy. Additionally, the presence of U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other federal agencies provides stable employment for many residents.
Education in Eagle Pass is anchored by the local public school system and a branch of Southwest Texas Junior College, which offers associate degrees and vocational training that cater to the local community’s needs. While there are no large universities within the immediate area, the educational institutions present play a critical role in workforce development and continuing education for residents.
Culturally, Eagle Pass mirrors the rich heritage and traditions of the Texas-Mexico border region. The area celebrates its Hispanic heritage with vibrant festivals such as the International Friendship Festival, highlighting the strong cross-border relationship with Piedras Negras. Local cuisine, heavily influenced by Mexican flavors, is a staple of community life, with numerous local eateries offering traditional dishes that reflect the area’s cultural blend.
Sports and recreation in Eagle Pass focus on community and high school sports, with local teams receiving strong support. Soccer and baseball are particularly popular, reflecting both local and international influences. Recreational opportunities abound in nearby state parks and at the Rio Grande, where fishing and boating are common activities.
Major attractions in Eagle Pass include the historic Fort Duncan, established in the mid-19th century and now restored as a museum that offers insights into the area’s military and frontier history. The Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino attracts visitors from across Texas and northern Mexico, providing entertainment with its gaming facilities, concerts, and dining options. Additionally, the Eagle Pass Main Street Program helps to revitalize and promote the downtown area, enhancing its appeal as a destination for shopping and cultural experiences.
