Our mission at Resilience-Building Leader Program (RBLP) is to certify leaders in building and leading resilient teams in the workplace. Since our founding in 2018, we have issued thousands of leader certifications.
Why? Getting the work done can be hard in any organization, and sometimes, it can be really hard. Resilient teams thrive in challenging environments because they can overcome adversity, adapt, and grow together.
Leaders build resilient teams by creating a positive climate, developing cohesion, and providing purpose. Building resilient teams makes team learning possible. Team learning is the foundation of organizational learning and change.
Getting certified is a structured learning and assessment experience that improves leadership abilities. Earning a leader certification will introduce you to new ideas and concepts. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of leader tasks will instill a greater sense of confidence in yourself.

Where do RBLP certified leaders work?
RBLP is our core leader certification. This certification is for managers responsible for one or more team’s morale, teamwork, motivation, and commitment. People who earn this certification can build and lead resilient teams.
Exam prep course required | 1.5-hour oral exam
RBLP-C is our coach certification. This certification is for managers with organizational improvement, innovation, and problem-solving responsibilities. Managers who earn this certification can coach teams through the experiential learning cycle.
Exam prep course required | 2.5-hour oral exam
RBLP-T is our trainer certification. This certification is for senior managers with organizational learning and development (L&D) responsibilities. Senior managers who earn this certification can teach authorized training courses that prepare people for the RBLP series of leader certification exams.
Exam prep course required | 3.5-hour oral exam
Our local partners teach the instructor-led Building and Leading Resilient Teams courses (3, 5, and 7 modules) that prepare you for the RBLP, RBLP-C, and RBLP-T certification exams. The partners below offer online courses with flexible start dates and schedules. Most also offer one-on-one training.

We developed the self-paced, online Leadership Fundamentals Course specifically for college students. This course will make you a better leader and more competitive for internships and jobs.
This course introduces college students to 21 core leadership tasks that everyone entering the workforce should understand. Course topics include Creating a Positive Climate, Developing Cohesion, and Providing Purpose. Audio versions of the lessons and bonus video content are also included.
The course cost is only $145. Complete the course to earn a certificate and digital badge.
Lake County, IL, situated in the northeastern part of Illinois, stands out as one of the most prosperous and well-developed areas in the state. Encompassing approximately 448 square miles, Lake County boasts a population of around 700,000 residents. The county seat, Waukegan, along with other major cities like Highland Park, Lake Forest, and Mundelein, contribute to the region’s vibrant character and economic vitality.

Baxter International, another major employer, reinforces the county’s status as a hub for medical research and production. Additionally, the Naval Station Great Lakes, located near North Chicago, is the largest military training installation in the United States Navy, adding a substantial economic impact to the area.
Educational opportunities in Lake County are plentiful, with several high-ranking public school districts and private schools providing quality education. For higher education, the College of Lake County serves as a community college offering two-year degrees and certificate programs in various fields, meeting the needs of the local community and preparing students for professional careers or further education. Lake Forest College, a private liberal arts college, is noted for its rigorous academics and contributes to the vibrant intellectual community.
Culturally, Lake County enjoys a rich array of arts and entertainment options. The Ravinia Festival, located in Highland Park, is the oldest outdoor music festival in the United States and hosts a wide range of performances, from classical music and opera to popular concerts and dance. The Genesee Theatre in Waukegan provides a venue for performing arts and live entertainment, drawing acts from across the nation. Additionally, the area’s diverse population supports a variety of cultural festivals and community events that celebrate the rich heritage of its residents.
While Lake County does not host any major professional teams, it supports a variety of amateur sports, with numerous community leagues and facilities for soccer, baseball, and basketball. Golf is particularly popular, with numerous courses scattered throughout the area, offering both recreational and competitive play.
Major attractions in Lake County further highlight its appeal. The Volo Auto Museum, featuring classic cars and Hollywood memorabilia, is a favorite for families and auto enthusiasts. The Chicago Botanic Garden, although officially located just outside the county’s border, attracts visitors with its expansive landscapes and plant collections. For history enthusiasts, the Lake County Forest Preserves offer educational programs and nature walks that explore the natural and cultural history of the area.
