The Resilience-Building Leader Program is proud to support O.P. Veteran, a Texas-based group which provides community stewardship for veterans by fostering their engagement in the non-profit community at large.
The organization provides a support system for veterans through mentorship, awareness campaigns, and fellowship activities. Their vision is to provide purpose, motivation, and direction to veterans by engaging with the veteran community and continuing the mission of “watching over our own”.
O.P. Veteran holds an annual event called Vet Fest, which brings hundreds of veteran organizations and veterans together to educate the community about varying resources available to them. Additionally, Vet Fest intends to facilitate networking and collaboration between veteran organizations, educate veterans on volunteer opportunities in these organizations, and encourage the solicitation of veteran owned businesses by having them on site as vendors at the event.
Watch O.P. Veteran CEO Dennis Katona’s interview with Austin station KVUE about 2019’s Vet Fest:
Another key event in O.P. Veteran’s campaign year is their annual Spring Kick-Off, in which the group puts on a celebration along with many local sponsors featuring food, entertainment, prizes and a raffle, with the proceeds benefitting another organization doing terrific work in Texas. This year’s upcoming Spring Kick-Off will be held in April and will benefit the Harth Foundation, a group that focuses on healing and recovery with horses through Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT).
O.P. Veteran has numerous testimonials from organizations like Cover 6 Outdoors, Centerpoints Veterans Services and the Cpl. Chad Eric Oligschlaeger Foundation for PTSD recognizing them for their service to veterans. O.P Veteran bridges the gap between veterans and the organizations built to serve them.
Taking care of our community is a core value at the Resilience-Building Leader Program. Our primary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is to provide RBLP exam prep training and leadership certifications to front-line leaders, middle managers, and senior leaders at selected charitable nonprofit organizations at no cost.
