As RBLP’s “Giving Back” program continues to reach more industries and organizations, we are happy to announce that our team is certifying members of the staff of the San José Clinic in Building Resilient Teams™!

san jose clinicThe original safety-net clinic in Houston, San José Clinic has steadfastly grown into a leading provider of quality healthcare services for individuals and families in the Greater Houston and Fort Bend county areas who struggle the most with accessing care. The Clinic began in 1922 with the vision of Monsignor George T. Walsh, a donation of $50 from the Charity Guild of Catholic Women and volunteers from the community, who all came together with the same hope of breaking down barriers to healthcare for the underserved. More than ninety years later, the Clinic proudly upholds the legacy of their founders by continuing to provide healthcare for those who need a health home the most, including primary and specialty medical and dental care as well as vision, laboratory and pharmacy services.

san jose clinicThe past year’s events have hit the healthcare industry particularly hard, yet in the meantime the San José Clinic continues to provide their services in the Houston area in no small part through the generous time commitment of volunteers; in 2020, 360 volunteers contributed 18,825 hours of time to the clinic’s two locations. This year looks forward to a return to the clinic’s annual highlights including their signature “Art With A Heart” event in May – an evening of art, jewelry, generosity and compassion featuring live and silent auctions of artwork and jewelry from from talented local and renowned artists. Other events include the Clinic’s annual Fall Speaker Series, striving to create a dialogue among the medical community about issues and trends affecting the service of the uninsured.

The San José Clinic staff are being instructed by Jamie Halchishick, Kyle Kulczyk, Rick Dyksterhouse, Chris Salmon, Michael Young, Carlos Olvera, and Christine Lustik, who volunteered their time to teach the exam prep training course.
