What does RBLP® stand for?

RBLP stands for Resilience-Building Leader Program. That’s the name of our company.

RBLP also stands for Resilience-Building Leadership Professional®. That’s the name of our certifications.

When and where was Resilience-Building Leader Program founded?

Resilience-Building Leader Program was founded in January 2018 by Dr. Gene Coughlin in Los Angeles CA. The company relocated to Burbank CA in January 2020.

Why was Resilience-Building Leader Program founded?

Despite there being several popular certifications that assess management competencies (i.e. project management, human resource management, change management, etc.), there was not a certification to assess leadership competencies. Resilience-Building Leader Program was founded to fill that gap in the marketplace.

Are the RBLP® certifications nationally recognized?

Colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada are Authorized Education Partners for Resilience-Building Leader Program. Our certifications are recognized by the Department of Labor and listed in the CareerOneStop Certification Finder. Our certifications are approved by the Department of Defense for the Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL) program for military service members. Our certifications are approved by the Department of Veteran Affairs for G.I. Bill® reimbursement.

What is the Better Business Bureau rating for Resilience-Building Leader Program?

Resilience-Building Leader Program has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Is Resilience-Building Leader Program a membership organization?

We are not a membership organization. There are no membership fees to join our community of practice. What’s that? A community of practice is a group of people bound together by what they have learned through mutual interest and engagement in a particular activity. The RBLP Community of Practice is bound together by a shared interest in Building and Leading Resilient Teams.

Resilience-Building Leader Program (RBLP®) is the credentialing body for the Resilience-Building Leadership Professional® certifications. Our mission is to certify leaders.

Where are the administrative office for Resilience-Building Leader Program located?

Our office is located at 303 North Glenoaks Blvd. Suite 251 in downtown Burbank, CA 91502.

What are the Resilience-Building Leader Program office hours?

Our office hours are Mon-Thu: 9am – 4pm PT and Fri: 9am – 1pm PT. We work hard around here, so we take a half-day off every Friday.

Resilience-Building Leader Program is incorporated in the state of Delaware.

Is Resilience-Building Leader Program accepting applications for the Exam Administrator positions?

We do not accept applications for the exam administrator positions. To be qualified, a person must have 20+ years of leadership experience, an RBLP-T certification, and a terminal degree (i.e. PhD, EdD, DBA). We know who they are and we recruit them as needed.

Does Resilience-Building Leader Program participate in the DoD Skillbridge program?  

We previously provided internship opportunities to transitioning military personnel via the Skillbridge program from 2020 to 2021. It’s an excellent program and the eight interns we hosted did an outstanding job for us. However, we are sourcing interns from other sources now. We may participate in Skillbridge again in the future.
